With the senior class officer race coming to a close and Gavin Turecek and Natalia Bridon being announced as the senior class president and vice president, let’s see what visions all the presidential candidates had for themselves and next school year.
President Gavin Turecek is a hard worker. “I think I’m a good representation, I understand the commitment and work ethic of different groups” was his response when he was asked why he wanted to be senior class president. He believes that his full capabilities would be expressed best as the president compared to other positions. He believes people understand he works hard for things and he can work. He believes he can work hard for others.

Vice President Natalia Bridon values community within school. She feels that senior year is the best time to tap into that community and really bring people together. “I want to create memories before senior year is over” was her response when asked why she wanted to be senior class vice president. She tries her best to get to know people from all types of groups and backgrounds and as vice president she believes she can really bring people together.

President Nominee Aila Johnson ran with her best friend Natalia Bridon, and just like Natalia she wants to get the senior class involved. Although she wasn’t voted as president her vision for the senior class can be applied for all the candidates. “I want to make senior year something to show up for” was her response when asked why she wanted to be senior class president. She believed that she could advocate for different students, which made her run for president, the highest position. She also believes that she can advocate for all students of different groups. She wasn’t elected as senior class president but her ideas and visions can be something that President Gavin Turecek can look up to.

Vice President Nominee Rylee Booth is a very confident and outgoing person who wanted to be vice president to unite the senior class. “I’d say I’m very responsible and outgoing compared to some people who can be more shy” was her response when she was asked about what made her stand out compared to other candidates. Just like the other candidates, she wants the senior class to be united and everyone to be included.

President Nominee Kyndall (Kai) Mitchell thought running for senior class president would be fun. When asked why she wanted to be senior class president, she said, “People already look up to me, so why not?” She wanted to run for president because she’d “Rather go big or go home.”

President Nominee Lillyan Wickwire was trying something new when running for senior class president. She thought running for senior class president was interesting because she hadn’t done anything like that before. “I like listening to all points of views” was her response when asked what makes her stand out compared to other candidates. She feels that idea was the most important.
