PURPOSE: The Papillion-La Vista South High School Student Council, works to strengthen school spirit, encourage worthwhile activities, foster spirit of cooperation, and serve as a bridge between the student body, faculty, and community.
BENEFIT: The purposes of this organization shall be to: Promote student involvement in school. Encourage school spirit and unity of the student body. Provide a forum for student suggestions and ideas. Strengthen relationships between faculty and student body. Provide student leadership opportunities. Serve as representatives of our school in community, district, state, and national events. Improve the school and community through philanthropy.

STUDENT LEADERS: Officer candidates complete an application. Teachers submit recommendations. The council votes. Officer Selection Criteria: A combination of application quality, council votes, and teacher recommendations is used to select new officers prior to the induction of new members in the spring.

FEES: $25 covers the cost of t-shirt and helps cover annual dues
REGULAR MEETING TIMES: Full council meets every other Monday. Officers meet bi-weekly (offset from the full council meetings).
EVENTS: Homecoming, Streetfest, Swishes for Wishes, Senior Sunrise, Senior Sunset
