Photography Club is a great opportunity for students who have a drive to learn and experiment with photography or new creative perspectives. This club is sponsored by Dr. Musil, an English teacher at Papio South, alongside student leaders Adyson Brown and Anastasia Allebach. Meetings are every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month in Dr. Musil’s room, D04. You do not need a camera to join, a phone is just as good. Meetings are sectioned in two parts. The first part of a meeting is classroom work, which includes learning what to look for in taking photos, different types of photography, and how to set up a camera. The second part of the meetings are going out and taking the pictures. The pictures taken correspond with what was learned in the classroom, like nature, sports, ect. Students can collaborate in the classroom, sharing their pictures, editing, and experiences. Photography club has posters throughout school with all the information you’ll need if you plan on attending, as well as a promotional Instagram @papio.south.photography.club. No previous skills or equipment is required to attend.
