Grace Pizza and Shakes, a franchise that started in Florida, has made its way to Nebraska. The founders of the pizza joint are Adrian Hembree and Joe Gomez, and the restaurant serves pizza, pasta and other popular items, such as milkshakes.
Current employee at Grace’s and sophomore Joslynn Doyle saying, “I asked why they put one in Papillion and they said, because someone in Florida told them about our town and said that it would be a good spot.”
Another employee, sophomore Avery Brazeal, described the restaurant’s welcoming environment, explaining, “As soon as you walk in the door, you have four different people saying hello and asking how your day is going,” Brazeal said.
If you are wondering when to go to Grace, they are closed on Mondays, but open Tuesday-Saturday from 11AM-9PM. The Sunday hours are 11AM-8PM. Their busiest days are usually Friday and Saturday nights.
If you’re looking for some good recommendations, Doyle’s favorite on the menu is The Mike and Jen, which consists of bow tie pasta, grilled chicken, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and romano cream sauce.
They have six unique flavors of milkshakes as well, and Brazeal shared her favorite is the Brownie Bliss milkshake. This is made up of chocolate ice cream, milk, freshly baked brownies, a chocolate iced rim with chocolate shavings, whipped cream and a cherry to top it off.
Next time you’re in downtown Papillion, stop at Grace Pizza and Shakes, which brings food and community together.
