For the first time in Papillion-La Vista South history, students had the opportunity to earn an academic letter. In the 2023-24 school year, over 300 students finished with a 4.0 GPA. Senior Rourke Nebel was one of these Academic Letter winners.
“I think it’s good they’re trying to add something more to the school, to take steps forward to help students want to achieve higher things,” Nebel said.
She explained this was not just a special item to receive but also helped students reach a goal. “They want to letter … to be in the higher percentage of their class…, so I think that’s a good step forward for the school,” Nebel said.
