What’s your favorite scary movie?
It’s happening again.
Is he in the closet? Lurking in the trees? Is it too late?
Ghostface, one of the most recognizable antagonists continues gaining popularity since the original beginning of the Scream franchise in 1996.
Although there’s the reputation of sequels always being worse the the original, Scream VI leaves viewers hanging on at each jump scare and plot twist.
On March 9th, Scream VI hit theaters, ticket holders also received a collector’s poster on premier night at participating locations like the Marcus Twin Creek Cinema.
The marketing on this Scream was very intriguing. I think the people in charge of commercializing it did a very good job and appealed to horror movie fans like myself.
A particular aspect of their marketing that fueled my interest was a scream official website that allowed for fans to receive a call from “Ghostface”.
The custom call is an automated Ghostface voice using your name which sparks a fear and a feeling you’re in a horror movie yourself.
To go see this Scream VI you don’t need to have seen every scream movie; however, the movie is full of easter eggs so having a scream marathon before your viewing could elevate the movie for you.
Here is an unofficial ranking of every scream movie.
I do recommend watching the 5th Scream movie because this one has the background of who the characters are and what they went through.
So.. what are you waiting for, “you’re not scared are ya?”, go watch Scream VI!
